My mission is to teach you how to use your hands properly to hit a golf ball with effortless power and control. The skills you develop will improve all aspects of your golf game. Get Your Game In Gear! History: - State Team Champion – State of Maryland 1984, Runner-Up State Team Championship 1985. - Two time NJCAA Individual Qualifier 1986 and 1987. Montgomery College, Rockville MD. - 2002 Two Ball Champion of the Baltimore Cup – Caves Valley MD. - Two time Individual Qualifier for the Maryland Open (2008 and 2009). - Two time Individual Qualifier for the Maryland Amateur (2008 and 2009). I can honestly tell you that I never felt I could get to the next level in golf because my swing always fell apart at some point during a round. I was missing something that the better players knew but I had yet to learn. Then I met my mentor AJ Bonar from The Truth about Golf TV fame. I flew out to San Diego to have a private lesson and my golf life changed. It took just five minutes to instantly improve my ball striking, chipping and putting. We played a round the next day and I shot three under par. I became a plus 2 later that year and qualified as an amateur to play in two consecutive Maryland Opens – professional event. My swing held up! So what does this all mean for you? I will teach you the methods and techniques that I learned 22 years after I started to play the game. You are never to old to learn what really works in golf and you are not too young to learn how to use the club properly. I am honored and excited to carry this legacy to the next generation of golfers. Let’s Get Your Game in Gear.
"It was excellent and his coaching. Really helped me understand my swing and what I needed to do to correct it.

"I'm glad to say my recent lesson with Cecil helped me improve my forehand consistency, especially on those wide balls, even though staying low still feels a bit tricky. Though I feel more confident overall, I think I need to focus on faster recovery after hits. Still, it's encouraging to see progress in court coverage and footwork, so I might try to keep building on these areas. If you're looking to sharpen your baseline game, Cecil's approach might be worth trying.

With 25+ years of tennis experience, I'm dedicated to sharing my knowledge and expertise with players of all ages. From serving techniques to game improvement, I'm here to help you elevate your skills and enjoy the game to the fullest.
"As an adult beginner who wants to learn how to play causally with friends, Piyush has helped me better understand the game. He is very patient when I have questions. As a result of my lessons, I have better awareness of the game and how to respond. He’s good at changing his pace to accommodate my learning while also encouraging me to learn new things.

I picked up tennis as a middle schooler, played as a high schooler and enjoyed it competitively into both college (recreational) and during active duty. I continue to play, learn and tutor my children. I also had the honor of coaching elementary and middle school children as a Senior in high school. My desire to coach is in inspiring the next generation in this wonderful sport. Elaborating; my more competitive years were from 1994-1997 where I would compete across the state of Oklahoma in numerous USTA tournaments. Additionally, our high school hosted and participated in weekly matches and tournaments during the fall and spring school semesters. On a personal level, I am a Christian, husband, father, and hobbies are numerous because I’m an adventurous guy (tennis, golf, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, mountain and trail hiking, Astronomy). Professionally, I completed my Master’s Degree in 2016 & recently my PMP Certification (Project Management Professional). Security+ (CE) certified. Additionally, I coached Jr. Flag football (6 seasons), Jr. Volleyball (1 season) & Little League Baseball (2 seasons). TMT has a copy of the previous background annual check. During the week of 21-25 July 2025, I volunteered and served as the Small Group Leader for one of the 4th & 5th grades boys and girls (16 children; 2 supporting volunteers). 2025 RECAP: 30 Different Students 173 Lessons of Varying Player Levels Age Groups included: -Young children -Teenagers -Adults
"The lesson was pretty good, especially in refining my backhand, though I think I still need more work on foot positioning. Jimmy's approach is fairly helpful, and I’d consider trying another lesson to build on what we covered.
