Hello, my name is Kira Lowery! I am a professional basketball player, looking to share my knowledge of the game and experiences to student-athletes of all ages and genders. My coaching style focuses on skill work with minimal conditioning, which will be beneficial for game-like situations. While working with student-athletes, my goal is to help build their confidence and teach them the importance of maintaining a consistent and efficient work ethic. Fun Facts About Me: At six years old, I played in my very first basketball game. I scored a basket, the crowd cheered loudly.. and I covered my ears and cried because it was so loud! Let's fast forward! I spent my first two years of college at a JUCO (Dyersburg State CC). During my time there, I received All Freshman Team, All Conference both years, and was named Offensive MVP and JUCO All American Third Team during my sophomore season. Afterwards, I played at two Division 1 programs, Auburn University and North Carolina Central University. At NCCU, I was named Team MVP my last two years of undergrad, whilst earning my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Cum Laude. Once I graduated from NCCU, I went on to play overseas in Pozega, Croatia. I was blessed enough to be the starting point guard as a rookie, averaging 10.2 ppg, shooting 50% from the field. I look forward to meeting and assisting you all!

I blend strategic insight with a player's enthusiasm to develop technically strong, tactically aware soccer players. I bring several years of coaching/playing soccer experience, proven training methods, and a patient, encouraging approach that builds confidence, decision-making and a lasting love of the game.
"Review the lesson objectives, introduce key soccer skills, and recap important concepts such as teamwork, communication, ball control, passing, and sportsmanship. I would check for player understanding, provide positive feedback, and allow time for questions and practice to reinforce what was learned.

For over a decade, I've cultivated a passion for soccer in players of all levels. My experience allows me to provide tailored coaching to improve technique, strategy, and foster a love for the game. I aim to create a positive, yet challenging, environment for players to grow.

As a Masters level counselor, I have acquired experience in conducting groups and working with clients one-on-one, both children and adults. Currently, I am an Art Educator and I teach and have taught elementary school age scholars with a high Latino population. I use Spanish daily with most of these students and occasionally must communicate in Spanish with parents and family members. As I continue my own practice, my goal is to become fluent in Spanish.

I have experience coaching youth students while I was in South Korea as part of a university soccer team, where I helped coach kids during and after the season. My coaching style is high-energy, fast-paced, and team-oriented, with a strong focus on teamwork, confidence, discipline, and creating a positive environment for athletes to grow. I would especially enjoy working with middle school-aged students because I believe that age is important for building strong fundamentals
