I have played varsity baseball for 4 years, as well as competitive travel ball for all of my life… and one year of JUC. I have now coached with my dad to travel ball, fall ball, local rec leagues, etc. I love to teach in fielding, as that is my strong suit as I was a second baseman, and a shortstop.

A lifelong student of dance, Mel'Keta's foundation includes extensive training in ballet, modern etc. In 2006, she deepened her commitment to Middle Eastern dance (Raqs Sharqi) through intensive study with renowned instructors Zarouhi Otchy and Tashira Awadiya. Her dedication led to train with internationally acclaimed artists, including Elena Lentini-protégés of the legendary Ibrahim Farrah-and the celebrated Ansuya. Her performance/teaching career includes international appearances in the UK+.

"I realize that prior to taking classes with Mel'Keta, I had a completely different idea of what "belly dance" was. I now understand that it is a full body dance and not just the belly. She helps me understand the movement, the Rhythms, and the feeling which created a somatic experience for me. Adam rose to national prominence as part of Sons of Sylvia, a Nashville-based trio blending country, pop, and rock elements. The group first gained widespread attention after winning the Fox television competition The Next Great American Band, a national band competition produced by the same network behind American Idol. Their victory launched them into the national spotlight and established them as one of the era’s most promising new bands. As part of their recording and touring history, Sons of Sylvia worked closely with Carrie Underwood. The group recorded with Underwood on her album Play On, collaborating on the song “What Can I Say”, which became a notable track from the album. In addition to the recording, Sons of Sylvia performed alongside Underwood on major tours, further establishing their presence within the top tier of contemporary country music.
