Meyerhoff joined USC Upstate after working with Switchbacks Academy U19 program. Alex Meyerhoff adds a background of playing experience where he was a student-athlete at Colorado College. Meyerhoff was a four-year starter at right wing & right back where he was a three-time SCAC Champion. Meyerhoff’s success extended with being on the 2023 team as D3 Elite Eight participant and a 2024 D3 round of 32 participant.

Having played for over 18 years, I have been through it all. I played ECNL for 3 years before playing at the Division 1 level at Furman University. I also played for the USL W team, the Greenville Liberty for 2 years. I was an outside back for majority of my years, but I have played center back, center mid, and forward at high levels. I am excited to bring my experience to new players!

I've chosen teaching as my vocation (or has it chosen me?) because one of my greatest joys is learning and then sharing what I've learned. I utilize a Socratic style for the most part, building bridges from the known to the unknown through questions, with a good deal of storytelling and explicit instruction to supplement.
