My name is Joey Potts, and I’ve played professional basketball for three years. Two years overseas in Romania and Norway, and one with the Salem Capitals in Oregon. I’m a 6’9” power forward who competed at the junior college, Division I (Oregon State), and NAIA (Oregon Tech) levels. My experience across multiple levels gives me a unique perspective on the game. I’ve coached and trained players ranging from 5 years old to high school and college athletes.

My journey as a professional musician has always been fueled by a passion for sharing the transformative power of music. With 12 years of experience teaching guitar, I guide students of all levels, fostering their growth and helping them find their unique voice through personalized instruction and engaging lessons. Dedicated baseball coach with a lifelong passion for the sport. With a playing career spanning from youth leagues to college athletics, I've honed my skills as a pitcher and shortstop. My experience extends beyond playing, as I've also led group clinics for young athletes aged 5-19, developing a keen understanding of fundamental skills and mechanics. After serving in the military, I'm now focused on helping players of all ages reach their full potential. My coaching philosophy centers on building strong fundamentals, refining mechanics, and fostering a love for the game. With a deep love for baseball, I'm passionate about guiding the next generation of players and inspiring them to reach new heights.

For over 25 years, I've loved the game of basketball. I have coached middle school as well as the last 8 years at the high school level. I specialize in the teaching of fundamentals for beginners. I strive to instill a sense of hard work, dedication, and motivation into my players to take with them into their life and careers.

With proven experience, I foster a supportive environment where dedication and discipline meet passion. I have coaching experience with several varsity position groups, both offense and defense. I also have several years experience as a varsity football special teams coordinator, defensive coordinator, and strength and conditioning coach. I am most passionate about strength and speed development, running back and linebacker play, and development of skills (basic to advanced).

He built a friendly connection with everyone on the team so it was very easy to ask questions. Whether it was showing correct form for lifting or how to do a certain block, Walsh was always ready to give an example. Coach Walsh is very dedicated to his work and passionate about making his players the best they can be.

I graduated from Portland State University with a math degree. I am also bilingual, fluent in Chinese Mandarin and English. I can teach students in subjects such as math and mandarin.
