Hi everyone! My name is Taylor Huffman, and I would love the opportunity to help your daughter grow her skills and expand her horizons in the sport of softball. I’ve been involved in softball for 18 years—as a player and as a coach. Over the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching, including three years as the head middle school softball coach at Hamilton Township Local Schools. While I primarily played catcher and third base, I was also considered a utility player and could fill in anywhere on the field as needed. Those two positions were just my main starting spots. "For me, coach Taylor was the only reason I didn’t give up on myself while playing softball throughout my middle school career. When I was on the edge of hanging up my cleats early, she supported me through every high and low I had ever encountered my entire middle school career. She has taught me a million and one things that I still continue to work on. She had taught me the mental and physical aspect of softball, always pushing me to become better and to play at my full potential. After I had finished playing softball with her as my coach, she continued to check up on me to see how I was doing with both travel and school teams. She always encouraged me to play my best and to become better no matter what level of softball I was at. To me, that is a real coach. I have over a decade of teaching experience and a Master's degrees in education with a focus on Reading and Literacy. I am passionate about helping students who struggle with reading. As an Intervention Specialist, I assist students who have been identified as needing additional support through a special education program.

I only started teaching during 2019 covid pandemic, when nobody had anything to do. I gathered a group of my friends who had 0 volleyball experience to start playing beach volleyball at Flannagan's. I found it extremely rewarding to see my teammates learn, improve and developing passion for the game of volleyball. One of my friends is now a coach himself for 11U volleyball club! Would be focusing on newer to intermediate players upskilling on their fundamentals.

With 24 years devoted, My name is Nick Ward I am currently an professional basketball player and recognized as one of the top 15 players in Michigan State history, where he starred under Tom Izzo and helped lead the Spartans to multiple NCAA Tournament runs. After declaring for the NBA Draft and playing Summer League with the Atlanta Hawks, he built a successful international career, competing at a high level with top clubs including Sporting CP in Portugal, Metropolitans 92 in France, and Panteras de Aguascalientes in Mexico. Known for his dominant scoring, rebounding, and efficiency, Ward continues to play professional basketball at a high level around the world. Played at every level and I know what it takes. I will be Tough, also very teaching and understanding as well.

I am now in my 10th year of playing professional basketball overseas. With my experience, I can provide the knowledge and understanding of the game to help you achieve your goals.
