I am pleased to introduce myself as a Life Member PGAGolf Professional with over five decades of experience in this magnificent sport. My journey in golf began at the tender age of five when I won my first tournament, igniting a passion that has shaped my entire life and career. Over the past 50 years, I've had the privilege of immersing myself in every aspect of the game:Competed on high school and college teams, honing my skills and competitive edge. Served as an Assistant Golf Coach at Fairview High School, nurturing young talent. Played internationally across four continents, broadening my perspective on the global golf landscape. Achieved the esteemed status of PGA Professional, a title I've proudly held for 35 years. Taught at some of the most prestigious clubs in the United States, including PGA National Collaborated with Golf Digest and worked alongside top instructors such as Bob Toski, Jack Lumpkin, and Todd Anderson. My approach to the game is unique, combining self-taught techniques with invaluable guidance from golf legends. I've had the honor of learning from Jack Grout, mentor to Jack Nicklaus, as well as Mike Souchack. I'm also deeply grateful for the mentorship of my friend and golf professional, Jerry Boykin, who supported me as a junior golfer. Throughout my journey, I've come to understand that golf is more than just a sport – it's a metaphor for life itself, embodying core values that extend far beyond the greens. I believe in the importance of savoring each moment, both in golf and in life, always taking time to "smell the roses" along the way. Matt is a Certified USPTA Professional, NSCA Personal Trainer, and TRX Instructor with a wealth of expertise in both tennis and pickleball. He was the top singles and doubles player at Wittenberg University, holds a USTA 5.0 NTRP rating, and ranks among the top 50 singles pickleball players. Though I have only been playing pickleball for a few years. My extensive racquet sports knowledge prepared me well for transition to pickleball. Ever since leaving competitive sports, I struggled to fill the hole that not playing sports left. Being a recent college graduate I had a hard time understanding why I was feeling empty and depressed entering this new chapter of my life. I realized that I needed to find a way to tap into my competitive nature, and Pickleball became passion. I played competitve youth tennis form the ages 4-14 and took lessons 4-5 dyas a week throughout that time. Thus, my knowledge of swing kinetics, footwork, and game strategy are very high. I am also a 5.0 DUPR rated player and play in tournaments with all the best players in the area. Recently, I was unofficially ranked top 20 in NEO. I am fun and outgoing individual, that will make learning quick and interesting for all ages.

Hello all! I’m Coach Scot and I have been a athletic coach for over 15 years now! I have coached all levels from middle school to varsity with many of my players having successful high school careers, some winning state championships and some moving on to play their respective sport in college as well. I have played high level football and basketball, and continue to play high level baseball! Sports have been my life long first love, and I look forward to making you great as an athlete!
