Tennis, with its unique blend of strategy and athleticism, has been a lifelong passion. As a former college player with 25 years of coaching experience, I'm dedicated to fostering a love for the game in players of all ages and skill levels. My coaching philosophy centers around building a strong foundation, developing tactical awareness, and most importantly, cultivating a genuine enjoyment for this dynamic sport. I speak Spanish and currently learning English.

Born and raised on the shores of Babylon, NY, I've ridden the waves of the East Coast since childhood, braving cold winter swells and eagerly awaiting the summer hurricanes. As soon as possible, I embarked on surf safaris, exploring breaks from the Caribbean to California and Central America, Oregon to Oahu, and beyond. With over 45 years of experience, surfing has become more than a passion—it's a way of life. Now, as an instructor, I find immense joy in helping others catch their first wave, sharing in the exhilaration that becomes a lifelong memory. Join me in the surf, and let's make some unforgettable waves together!

"Frank's lesson was quite good. He's an excellent coach who teaches very well, and I especially appreciated the way he explained techniques clearly. Still, I think there's always room to continue refining skills, which I look forward to doing in future lessons. If you're aiming to sharpen your game with solid guidance, I could suggest giving Frank a try.

Hello, my name is Armaan Walia and I have been playing competitive tennis for 12+ years. I coach with the top tennis pros at country clubs which has helped me develop my coaching skills. I play collegiate tennis at St. Lawrence University and play two singles there ending my season with a 8-3 record. During my lessons I focus on developing the player and building habits that will last for a lifetime.

"I have used many tennis coaches, that are way overpriced and don’t know how to teach. But Armaan was the only one that I saw put in effort and genuinely cared about my improvement.

I teach tennis lessons to anyone and everyone. Never touched a racket? No problem! Do you want to go up a level, make the high school team, or be able to play with friends? Kids, high schoolers, adults, couples, and groups. I love tennis! USPTA level 2 Certified, Tennis Serve Specialist. Worked with Rick Macci (coach of 5 world #1 ones including Williams sisters and Andy Roddick), Jose Higuras (head of U.S. high performance program), Jeff Salzsentein (former top 100 player), Hans Podlipnik (Wimbledon QFist), and many others. Head high school coach for 11 years, active tournament player, patient teacher. Passionate about helping underserved kids throughout Seattle learn tennis and have organized and connected with many initiatives to do so. My goal is to help you achieve your goals whether that be improving technique or beginning to learn to play. To that extent, I am fairly flexible in my approach. For beginners, I focus on technique, proper grips, and generating topspin. To do this, I focus on hand feeding a lot of balls early on to develop proper technique and to train the muscle memory. Specifically, I teach a semi-western forehand, two-handed backhand, volley fundamentals, split stepping, proper footwork and serve mechanics. I also work with students who have one-handed backhands. I am a big believer in putting in a lot of time on the serve. For more experienced players, I will work with you to either identify areas for improvement or to work on areas you’ve identified you would like to improve.

"Irvin is mellow, patient, and encouraging. He has been great with my 9 year old son who is a beginner. Good communication and easy to schedule lessons.
