Meet Adam, a Football Coach in Rochester, New York.

Adam Griggs joined the Rochester football staff in the spring of 2018 and serves as UR’s offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. In his first season in 2018, helped coach two All-Liberty League offensive linemen in Nicholas Balch and Matt Capovani. The pair also earned All-UAA honors. Rochester's offense produced nearly 250 yards of offense per game, including over 1,800 yards of offense through the air. During 2020, Griggs also was a coach for the Yellowjacket running backs and wide receivers. Since he came to the University, Griggs has overseen the football Academic Performance Program, which has yielded seven consecutive semesters with a team GPA over 3.0 and a cumulative GPA of 3.30 entering 2021. Griggs’ came to the University after spending time as the special teams coordinator and tight ends coach at Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he worked under current UR head coach Chad Martinovich. Prior to coaching at MIT, Griggs had multiple coaching stints at Bentley University and Assumption College. He began his coaching career at Assumption in 2006, coaching tight ends for the 2007 season. He then moved on to Bentley where he was offensive line coach, assistant offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator for the Falcons through 2011. Griggs then returned to Assumption where he was the Greyhounds offensive coordinator for one season. He went back to Bentley in June, 2013 and stayed on as special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach until 2017 when Martinovich hired him at MIT. A three-year starter and four-year letter winner for Bentley, Griggs was a two-time All-Northeast 10 offensive lineman, earning 1st Team accolades in 2004, when he also earned All-New England regional honors. Griggs also excelled in the classroom, earning CoSIDA Academic All-District honors in 2003. He graduated from Bentley University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Design and Corporate Communication. Griggs was named the Bentley Student Athlete of the Year in 2004 and 2006. Griggs received his Masters Degree in Education (Teaching and Curriculum) from Rochester in 2021.

Meet Derick, a Boxing Coach in Rochester, New York.

Derick, the 1997 Golden Glove champion and an Olympic prospect, boasts an impeccable amateur record with only one loss. With over two decades of experience, he has been nurturing fighters since the age of 21. A trailblazer in Rochester, Derick led a female athlete to the Olympic finals by 2023. Alongside his pro fighter achievements of 7-0-6 knockouts, he takes pride in his son's title as the New York State amateur champion. Through instructing kids' classes thrice a week and mentoring older teenagers nightly, Derick's commitment shines. He's not only a skilled coach but also a Parkinson’s Coach, nutritionist, genetic-based coach, board-certified holistic practitioner, and elite trainer, showcasing his diverse expertise.

Meet Matthew, a Golf Coach in Rochester, New York.

Matthew's reputation gets immediate results after the 1st lesson and travels to clients - desired location. His sessions last for 1 hour and sometimes a little over. He is currently working to get his PGA certification to teach and compete. He has been playing since 10 years of age and was taught by a golf coach, golf pro and a professional tournament golfer. Matthew has: 1.) Won a golf league and scrambles. 2.) Shot under par on 9 holes. 3.) Shot even par on 9 holes. 4.) Has helped recreational golfers break 100 5.) Has helped numerous golfers lower their scores Matthew has a great eye for the golf swing to help better the performance of others. My name is Zachary Yusuf. I am 25 years old and live in Rochester, NY. I am a PPR certified pickleball instructor with experience playing advanced tournaments in both singles and doubles. My goal as a coach is to teach my students the variety of skills I have learned throughout the years playing many hand-eye coordination sports including, golf, badminton, squash, table-tennis, and tennis, in a manner that is easily transferable to the sport of pickleball. I feel my insights will help beginner and intermediate players gain a sound understanding of the strategies, rules, dynamics, and techniques needed to level up in the sport, regardless of age or experience.
