Hey, I'm Coach Jeff. I was a Division I tennis player on an athletic scholarship at Saint Peter’s University (SPU), where I also served as team captain my senior year. Following that, I became the assistant coach at SPU and NJCU. Currently, I run an indoor tennis program at SPU, offering adult cardio tennis and kids' group lessons. I work with players of all ages and skill levels, but my specialty is helping dedicated athletes elevate their game through personalized training programs.

I have been a high-level competitive tennis player for many years, progressing through USTA tournaments on into the Division I collegiate level at Sacred Heart University. Before Sacred Heart, I played a couple of years at Division III Allegheny College where I was a two-time all-conference singles selection, became captain as a junior and was a representative of the team on the student athletic advisory committee. At Sacred Heart, I was named captain my senior season and received the student-athlete award for the highest GPA on the team after my first semester. In addition to my playing experience, I have many years of coaching experience. I am a current RSPA Elite Professional, and have organized and run my own private lessons and programs. I have also coached at various country and athletic clubs in Northern NJ and New York, along with having been an assistant men’s coach at Army West Point. I am sometimes available at the Jersey Shore in the summer as well.

I am a Japanese guy💪, born and raised in Japan. I learned to ski from my strict!? father at first, and later started skiing with school friends and family. In 1989, I obtained my Level 2 technical ski certification from the Japanese Ski Association (SAJ). During on-season, I’m teaching at a ski resort’s ski school. I can work with you during off-season at NJ. About my past life! I came to the US as a student, and time has flown by since then. After becoming a frequent traveler for multiple jobs at one of the largest Japanese companies, I now retired and started teaching skiing for fun! I obtained my Level 1 ski instructor certification from the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA-AASI) and have already passed my Level 2 ski exam (Less than 50% of instructors pass this), with my sights set on further improving my teaching skills.
