I have been a high-level competitive tennis player for many years, progressing through USTA tournaments on into the Division I collegiate level at Sacred Heart University. Before Sacred Heart, I played a couple of years at Division III Allegheny College where I was a two-time all-conference singles selection, became captain as a junior and was a representative of the team on the student athletic advisory committee. I have performed as a concerto soloist with the Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra, and I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan, where I studied with Amy Porter. I am a substitute flute/piccolo player for the Macomb Symphony Orchestra, Adrian Symphony Orchestra, Billings Symphony Orchestra, and Oakland Symphony Orchestra. I am the founder of a 501(c)3 non-profit entitled the Flute Pedagogy Project, which focuses on creating and distributing free and level-appropriate curriculum to beginner and intermediate flute players. From crafting lyrical melodies to mastering technical finesse, I have dedicated the last 3 years to guiding flutists of all levels.
