Hi all - I’m looking for some new students for the winter season! It’s a great time to work on swing changes or learn the swing etc. I’ve had some great success over the years with winter training at the range and simulators to either work on the full swing or hone parts of the game. Chipping /putting short game or even speed training for those long drivers. Also breaking down the whole swing to get ready for spring. Tappan good center has a great set up all closed in with heaters or indoors at a sim. For preferably at the range where we can see direct results. Born in China and I came to the US when I was 15. I joined local swim team in Beijing when I was 7, I won 6 first place in regional competition when I was 12. I started playing basketball at 13, at the same time, I was recommended by middle school coach to run track, 100 meter, 200 meter, 300 hurdle, 4x100 and 4x400. In 2018 I was in the state meet competing. I was not the most physically gifted runner so I had to study the forms, techniques. I love the game of basketball and I experienced basketball from both cultures. I played JV in middle school and Varsity in High school, I played shooting guard position. Being not the most physically gifted, I had to work extra hard on my skills, understanding the game. I truly believe coaching track, swimming, basketball or any sports is bigger/more than just teaching youngsters the skills, it’s about life, lessons we learn from playing sports, spending time and energy to understand each other and one self. I am a Japanese guy💪, born and raised in Japan. I learned to ski from my strict!? father at first, and later started skiing with school friends and family. In 1989, I obtained my Level 2 technical ski certification from the Japanese Ski Association (SAJ). During on-season, I’m teaching at a ski resort’s ski school. I can work with you during off-season at NJ. About my past life! I came to the US as a student, and time has flown by since then. After becoming a frequent traveler for multiple jobs at one of the largest Japanese companies, I now retired and started teaching skiing for fun! I obtained my Level 1 ski instructor certification from the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA-AASI) and have already passed my Level 2 ski exam (Less than 50% of instructors pass this), with my sights set on further improving my teaching skills. Phew😮💨, the learning 📚never ends! In addition to skiing for over 40+ years, I have a deep background in classical music 🎵and play the piano with a degree. I was also an official docent at Carnegie Hall for 10 years. Recently, I completed a Reiki healing master class and am planning to help others with it.

I have been a high-level competitive tennis player for many years, progressing through USTA tournaments on into the Division I collegiate level at Sacred Heart University. Before Sacred Heart, I played a couple of years at Division III Allegheny College where I was a two-time all-conference singles selection, became captain as a junior and was a representative of the team on the student athletic advisory committee. At Sacred Heart, I was named captain my senior season and received the student-athlete award for the highest GPA on the team after my first semester.
