Tennis has been a lifelong passion for me, but about three years ago, the magnetic allure of pickleball caught my attention. Intrigued and motivated to spread my love for this sport, I pursued PPR certification and embarked on a teaching journey that has now spanned over a year. My teaching endeavors have seen me conducting numerous classes, reaching out to hundreds of players at various levels of expertise, all within the welcoming environment of the YMCA. Pickleball is more than a game; it's a community, a vibrant connection of enthusiasts coming together to enjoy the thrill of the sport. As a dedicated instructor, my mission is to share this excitement and the skills that make the game enjoyable for players of all backgrounds and levels. My goal is to contribute to the growth of pickleball and help individuals discover the joy of this engaging and dynamic sport.

I have been playing baseball since the age of four, growing up as the son of a former professional baseball player who inspired my passion for the game. Throughout high school, I was a four-year varsity starter and had the opportunity to travel both nationally and internationally to compete at a high level. I am currently continuing my athletic and academic career as a college baseball player at Felician University. This background has taught me discipline, leadership, teamwork, a strong work ethic that I bring to everything I do and I am ready to pass it down to may need my help.

But I learned that tennis is for everyone - no matter your age, skill, or gear. Years have flown by, and now I'm the proud founder of Astoria Tennis, NYC's largest public tennis community. I believe in creating an inclusive space where we all can learn, play, and revel in the joy of tennis. I run six pickleball sessions a week for my local church to raise money, combining my love for the game with a commitment to community service. My journey with paddle sports began as a kid, but it was in 2015, introduced to pickleball by my dad, that I truly found my passion. I fell in love with the game not only for its excitement but also for the positive social aspects it brings. Pickleball has a unique way of building connections and fostering a supportive community, and I strive to share that experience with others. Coach Jhamir White is a former NCAA Division II National Champion and standout guard at Richard Bland College and Virginia State University who has transformed his passion for basketball into developing the next generation of athletes. With experience coaching AAU programs, high school teams, and leading elite skills training sessions, he is recognized for his ability to mentor, motivate, and push players to reach their fullest potential on and off the court. Through his program, P.H.E.A.R.D. (Push Humbly Every Day After Removing Doubt), Coach White combines high-level basketball instruction with character development, emphasizing discipline, confidence, and resilience as the foundation for long-term success.

Good day, I’m Jhazeal White, and I specialize in basketball training for athletes seeking to elevate their game. With my experience in going to multiple NBA combines, nearly signing a deal with the Knicks and playing against top basketball players, I can provide you with the guidance, tools and blueprints to help you with whatever you’re struggling with. With your experience level and the desire to train multiple times a week, I can tailor sessions to focus on skill development and areas I recommend for improvement. "In my lessons with Coach Jhazeal, I went from averaging 4pts a game to averaging 22pts a game. He helped me grow 500% better in on court performance. He helped me understand that performance anxiety is common but continuous work and practice will slowly dissolve that problem and he was right. Our practices are always fun and motivating. He even came to some of my games to help cheer me on which made me feel even better. I highly recommend.

With 11+ Professional playing years including MLB with Miami & Seattle. I also played in Japan and Mexico. I make baseball fun again but focus on the mental side of the game. I also specialize in Injury Prevention to protect the athlete. Helping kids find their love for the game.

"I am not sure where to start but here we go. Edgar Olmos is by the far the absolute top pitching coach in the state. Edgar not only teaches the fundamentals of pitching, but he teaches the physical aspect of what it takes to be successful on the mound. He took my son (Keyton) under his wing and began molding him into what he is today. Taught him the game and how to approach situations mentally and with a healthy plan to have him grow lesson by lesson. Keyton loves Edgar and I highly recommend if you want to be successful on the mound with a healthy approach.

Kevin Du is a New York–based Chinese-American pianist, composer, and bandleader whose work reflects a multicultural upbringing and deep roots in both classical and jazz traditions. His music blends diverse influences with a commitment to lyricism, authenticity, and emotional depth. Kevin graduated with highest honors from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Jazz Composition and Arranging and is currently completing his Master’s at New York University, studying with leading figures in the New York jazz scene. His debut album, Somewhere, a Butterfly Sings, is set for release in May 2026. He also leads his own trio, performing original music at established venues throughout the city.
