I'm Dr. Shuming Chen, a former university professor with over a decade of teaching experience and a Ph.D. in Vehicle Engineering. I have helped students from undergraduate to graduate level understand difficult concepts, prepare for exams, complete research projects, and improve academic writing. I focus on fundamentals through repetition. Mastering fundamentals is essential to a players success and continual improvement. Once fundamental baseball drills are mastered, advanced techniques can be incorporated into a players game. Positive reinforcement is used to build confidence and mental toughness. Other areas of focus include good sportsmanship and being a strong team player. There are many life lessons to be learned from playing baseball, which can help in real life situations.

I have been playing piano for over 35 years. I do not teach site reading but song composition, key and chord techniques. I give you the best tools to bring out your best music!

Music is a journey, and I'm passionate about guiding students from youth to adult. As a pianist with 8 years of experience and performance experience learning at Oakland Community College, Ibring a deep understanding of technique and artistry to every lesson.
