I’ve been a Floridian my entire life until I made the move up to Virginia last Spring with my wife and 3 dogs. I’ve been a certified athletic trainer, high school teacher and tennis coach for the past 20 years. I became a USPTA teaching professional about 10 years ago and have taught kids as young as 5 to adults as old as 65. I’ve coached the Gainesville High School girls tennis team the past 2 years. I believe tennis is truly a sport of a lifetime that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities.

With 13 years on the diamond, I instill a deep love for baseball and build a solid foundation for success. I tailor my approach to each student, fostering both skill and sportsmanship. I also am an Assistant Coach for a summer college team, Southern Maryland Senators that’s in a league that’s called the CalRipken summer college collegiate league. I am a classically trained vocal coach, I coach students of all ages in the area of Pop, Gospel, Classical, R&B, Jazz, Opera, Rock and Musical Theater. I train students on breath control, pitch, enhancing the quality of their tone, stage presence, extending vocal range, building confidence and diction. I do not believe vocal lessons should be a chore. I strive to make my lessons fun and energizing while pulling out each student’s natural gifts and creativity. I personalize each lesson and encourage students to explore all their musical interest. When you finish each lesson with me, you will feel refreshed and uplifted.

A DC area native, I was initially introduced to music, though somewhat reluctantly, through enrollment in the church choir at the age of four; however, I quickly grew to love it. I first experienced the guitar while living in Hong Kong when my third-grade teacher would play for them everyday at the end of school. I began taking lessons while living in Hong Kong and continued when I moved back to Washington DC. I have been playing the guitar for over 25 years and teaching for over 15. While my foundation is deeply rooted in the classical tradition, I enjoy teaching a variety of styles. My passion is to empower others to find their voice through the guitar, no matter their level of experience.
