Former Director of Tennis at Elk River Ciuntry Club Banner Elk NC . I am a 40 years plus Tennis nerd who completely flipped to Pickleball when I discovered it during the pandemic in 21 . I have recently semi-retired and currently teach and train for Senior Pro events out of an indoor facility in Little Italy . I have taught close to 500 students and have a perfect 5 star rating on this site . My success has been due to my extreme passion to use Pickleball as a vehicle to make major life changes. Playing almost every sport growing up as well as NCAA Basketball and Tennis I have developed an uncanny talent to convert my students previous athletic experience to playing a very competent and competitive level of Pickleball almost immediately . I’m a center back currently competing at the NCAA Division I level, with experience playing for Utah Valley University (UVU), University of Central Arkansas (UCA), and Gardner-Webb University. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong understanding of the game, especially from a defensive perspective, and I take pride in my leadership, positioning, and ability to read the field. As a player, I’ve always been vocal and disciplined — someone my teammates can count on. Now as a coach and mentor, I aim to bring that same energy to developing young players. I focus on teaching the fundamentals of defending, building confidence on the ball, and helping athletes grow both technically and mentally. Whether I’m training center backs to lead the backline or helping players understand the game at a higher level, I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned and giving back to the sport that’s given me so much.

I’ve been playing pickleball for four years and coaching for three, with consistent experience competing in tournaments. I’m on the court nearly every day and stay closely connected to the local pickleball community, especially in the Arlington area. Sports have always been a core part of my life—including basketball, soccer, and table tennis—but pickleball stands out as the most engaging, strategic, and social game I’ve played. As a coach, I combine drilling with live play, working alongside my students to develop solid shot mechanics, sharpen strategy, and improve decision-making under pressure. Beyond lessons, I help players plug into the local pickleball scene so they can continue progressing through games, leagues, and community connections.
