I like to meet students where they are, both overall (what's the music you love!) and how they feel week to week. I've played guitar since I was 14, and I love the instrument not only because it rocks, but also because of its rich history and its standing as an art object. For the past eight years, I've cultivated a passion for boxing and mixed martial arts in students. I'm currently 5-1 in my professional MMA career (my last fight was in the UFC Contender Series). Coming from a small city in India, I wasn't naturally athletic, but through my growing understanding of technique, athletics, and biomechanics, I fight at the highest levels. I have over 20 years of experience teaching, coaching, and mentoring youth athletes in both academy and club soccer environments. Throughout my career with organizations such as DC United Academy, Weston FC, Capital FC, and Chicago FC, I have worked with players ranging from early childhood ages through high school and collegiate-bound athletes.
