"I came to Vernon a little out of shape and honestly just wanting to get back into tennis and finally beat my sister, who was always the better player growing up. Vernon made the process fun and enjoyable from day one. The lessons are a great workout, the music is always good, and he keeps things light with his sense of humor while still focusing on improving your game. With his help, I got back in shape, improved my technique, and I can proudly say I finally beat my sister. I’m already looking forward to the next match. If you want to get better and actually enjoy the process, Vernon is the coach to go to.

I’m Derrick, an 20 year old 5.0+ Pickleball player (Playing in APP/PPA pro qualifiers soon!) based out of South Florida! In the past I’ve played tennis, table tennis, badminton, as well as a couple of other sports. I have coaching experience from tennis and bowling. But I want to teach the sport I’m most interested in, Pickleball! Excited to get on the court together. Heads up! Although I did do commercials Professor Pickleball. I specialize in developing a solid and well thought out game. Although the process is slower early on, the better you get the easier it will be to get better! My best shots are my drops/resets and my backhand flicks. And my playstyle is a very shifty “joker” style of play. I am also quite flexible with times and locations as long as there is a court open in the area!

"My son loved the lesson. Derrick's communication and knowledge are very good.

"Honestly, I found the lesson quite helpful, Julio paid attention to my specific needs and offered practical advice. The lesson highlight that stood out was his focus on improving my serve consistency, which I feel more confident about now. Though I still have room to improve, I’m optimistic about continuing with his guidance. Still, it’s good to see a measured approach that isn’t rushed, and I think others might find it worth trying out Julio.
