Hey, I’m Coach Jody, a 26-year-old basketball skills trainer. As a former varsity high school player, ESPNU Top 100 invitee, and cousin of Auburn alumnus Jordon Granger, my basketball journey runs deep. I’m incredibly excited to work with these young athletes—not just to give them the tools to succeed on the court, but to help them grow into men who will thrive at the college level and beyond.

"“Before working together, at 74 years I started feeling uneasy in everyday situations. Being around people, even simple things like standing in a group or walking in crowded spaces, made me nervous. I was especially afraid of losing balance, getting bumped, or struggling with stairs. Through the training, I slowly rebuilt trust in my body. My balance feels more stable, my movements are more controlled, and I don’t overthink every step anymore. Going up and down stairs doesn’t feel like a risk, it just feels normal again. What surprised me most is that I feel comfortable being around people again without that constant fear in the background.”

With a passion for music that spans decades, I began my journey in piano teaching in 2006, conducting private and group sessions. My musical voyage began even earlier during my high school days at Smithfield High School in VA, where my exceptional talents were recognized by my choir director, leading me to pursue higher education at Shenandoah University Conservatory. There, I earned my BM and MM degrees in Piano Performance with a minor in organ, shaping my profound understanding of classical music. Over the years, I've honed my skills in chamber music and music theatre, amassing 26 years of experience accompanying and coaching singers, as well as a decade in ballet dance accompaniment. Notably, I had the privilege of performing at Carnegie Hall in 2014 and continue to enrich my musical journey by collaborating with local bands and performing at prestigious events.

I have been playing golf since I was 9 years old and have won several tournaments over the years. I know how to have fun on the course but also understand the technical aspects and techniques that come with each part of the game. We will not only work on your swing but also mindset and how to think and make the right decisions while on the course. Let me help you drop some strokes.
