Lou MARESCA is a prominent American surfer and considered a pioneer in the surf instruction industry. He is a Certified Master Surfing Instructor NSSIA.org , and has taught in Hawaii and Costa Rica. His school is considered to be the longest running school on the East Coast of the USA. His won the Masters Division of the Treasure Coast ESA district, going on to 10th in the USA after being invited to the Championships in Hawaii in1987. In 2006 he won the Costa Rica National Masters Championship.

With more than 15 years of coaching experience, I’ve worked with players of all ages and skill levels — from beginners learning fundamentals to high-performance tournament athletes. Most recently, I served as Tennis Professional at Orchid Island Beach & Golf Club in Vero Beach, Florida, and have coached at prestigious country clubs and elite tennis programs across the nation. As a former #1 junior player in the U.S. in both the 14s and 16s divisions, ITF world #4, and USTA National Team member, I understand firsthand the physical, technical, and mental demands required to succeed in tennis. My experience competing internationally and playing for both the University of Texas and the University of Tennessee allows me to genuinely connect with players and help them build confidence, handle pressure, and improve at every level. My coaching style is energetic, positive, and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on footwork, technique, confidence, match strategy, and mental toughness. Every lesson is tailored to the individual player to create a challenging, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment that helps students improve quickly while developing a genuine love for the game.
