I have spent the past 15 years playing basketball all the way through the Division 1 college level. I want to share my passion for basketball and empower players to reach their full potential. My coaching philosophy centers around building a strong foundation of fundamental skills, attention to details, and cultivating a love for the game. Jonny Malanga is a dedicated pickleball player with 5+ years of on-court experience studying elite methods, drills, and strategies to reach an advanced competitive level. With a lifelong passion for sports and coaching, my journey has taken me from playing organized sports from age 6 through high school, including a semi-pro football season, to coaching high school basketball and little league baseball for 11 rewarding years. Alongside my love for athletics, I've shared my musical talents by teaching guitar and percussion. I channel my coaching expertise into mentoring elementary students in after-school basketball programs. It's a privilege to inspire young athletes and musicians, nurturing their skills and passion for the game and music.

"Mason is absolutely awesome. I would highly recommend him as a coach. He was at the court on time. He was very friendly and of course knowledgeable about the game. He was very patient with my husband and I as we were both beginners. We learned the basics and before he left we were able to play a couple of games with some of the locals. We enjoyed our coaching time immensely. We are from out of town so this one time experience really sets the stage for us to continue learning when we get home.

I’m a certified PPR Pickleball Pro with a deep passion for teaching and inspiring players to elevate their game. Over the past year, I’ve had the opportunity to work with both small groups and larger clinics of up to 18 participants, which has been incredibly rewarding. This year, I earned the US Open Singles 4.0 Gold and the APP Silver Medal in Doubles 4.0. Looking ahead, I’m excited to compete at the Nationals in Arizona this November with my sights set on the Gold Medal, and I’m committed to turning PRO within the next year. My focus is on delivering top-notch technical guidance and game insight to empower players to reach their full potential.
