I’m an active youth baseball coach and the Director of T-Ball & Machine Pitch for Monarch Little League in Louisville, Colorado. As the founder of Coyote Kids Baseball Club and a dad of two young ballplayers, baseball is a big part of my life both on and off the field. I specialize in helping young players build strong fundamentals, gain confidence, and develop a genuine love for the game. My coaching style is positive, energetic, and age-appropriate, with sessions designed to keep kids engaged while making real progress. Whether your player is picking up a glove for the first time or looking to sharpen their skills, my goal is to make every lesson fun, encouraging, and packed with quality reps.

I am a teacher by profession. After teaching science 18 years in South Korea, Mexico City, and Denver, i found pickleball in 2017. I was hooked right away and started filming my tournaments to improve. I achieved my goal of making it to Nationals and have won many medals in Men’s, Mixed, and Singles. Pickleball is my life’s passion, and I have now pivoted to teaching pickleball at Gates Tennis Center. I can help you elevate your game through active play, effective analysis, and coaching. A former national junior champion, Carey represented his native country of New Zealand in international play before attending and earning a B.A. in Business Management from Colorado State University-Pueblo,where twice he was awarded All-American status and selected to represent the NAIA national team. Carey has earned many accolades, has several USTA/USPTA certifications, and has been as high as #308 in ATP rankings. Some of his other impressive stats include being inducted into the CSU Pueblo Hall of Fame for Men's Tennis, being a Two-Time All-American in singles at the University of Southern Colorado, being the 2006 USPTA Junior Development Coach of the Year, the 2005 Rocky Mountain News 5A Boy's HS Coach of the Year, the 2004, CHSAA 5A Coach of the Year, and the Colorado State Open Singles Champion. When not teaching tennis, you might find Carey on the dance floor doing the Cha-cha.
