I’m Ethan Kang, a college baseball player at Colorado Christian University with 18 years of playing experience. I have a passion for helping players sharpen their hitting and fielding skills through personalized private lessons. I specialize in breaking down film to identify areas for improvement and teaching the mental side of baseball to help athletes build confidence, focus, and a winning mindset. My coaching approach combines technical skill development with mental preparation, ensuring you improve not just physically but also mentally. I am a teacher by profession. After teaching science 18 years in South Korea, Mexico City, and Denver, i found pickleball in 2017. I was hooked right away and started filming my tournaments to improve. I achieved my goal of making it to Nationals and have won many medals in Men’s, Mixed, and Singles. Pickleball is my life’s passion, and I have now pivoted to teaching pickleball at Gates Tennis Center. I can help you elevate your game through active play, effective analysis, and coaching. I have 17 years of baseball experience, including pitching and playing outfield at the college level. During my career, I had the opportunity to learn from some incredible coaches who shaped the way I see the game. I worked with two former MLB hitting coaches, Tyler Holt and Brad Wilkerson, who taught me the details of hitting mechanics, approach, and preparation at a professional level. On the pitching side, I was coached by Tommy Boss, a former University of Florida standout, whose knowledge of the game and leadership on the mound helped me refine my pitching and understand the mental toughness it takes to compete. My background as a two-way player gives me a unique perspective that I now bring into coaching. I know the grind of balancing both sides of the game and the work it takes to succeed. My goal is to use that experience to help players develop their skills, grow their confidence, and maximize their potential both on and off the field.
