I was born and raised in Kauai, Hawaii, where surfing was my life. I caught my first wave at the age of six, and I've been chasing that feeling for the 25 years. Surfing has taken me on countless adventures, from epic surf trips to thrilling competitions. Despite my early reluctance, I eventually found my calling as a surf instructor, dedicating myself to mastering the art of teaching surfing. I have been coaching since 2018 I have been doing private 1 on 1 sessions and small group training for boys and girls aging from age 6 to current college athletes. I have the ability and skills to coach all ages in all positions I have coached athletes in Southern California as well as the DMV area. My main focus during training is to identify deficiencies in the athletes game to help them be a more complete player as well as help grow their strengths. Soccer is a beautiful sport and I enjoy passing on my skills and expertise down to the next generation of players to help them grow into their potential as well as continue helping them see the beauty of the game.

I started playing pickleball in 2014 and have been successful in local tournament play events. Due to my early experience, I started the pickleball program at my local tennis club in Scripps Ranch as it increased from 2 to 4 to 8 pickleball courts. From there, with the help of the tennis pro, we started with large groups (30 -40 players) for pickleball training sessions years ago until interrupted by the Covid pandemic. We were able to start training again in 2023 with our current expanded player base. For the last few years, I have continued with private training sessions at local recreation areas, parks and at résidences.
