I bring a disciplined, game-tested approach to coaching basketball that balances technical rigor with enjoyable challenge. I have taught basketball for several years, specializing in fundamentals, tactical development, and individualized progress plans to help players reach their potential.

I’ve played 2 years at an NCAA division I program competing in the WCC. In high school I went to the Division 2 CIF southern section finals. As well as a 2x  Junior National Champion. Although I’ve decided to center my college career solely on beach after 2 years, I spent my last two years of college head coaching for indoor volleyball.

I believe what makes me a good pickleball coach is that I’m very detail-oriented. I pay close attention to the small things—footwork, paddle angle, positioning, and shot mechanics—because those little details make a big difference in a player’s improvement. I also make learning fun and easy to understand. I know everyone learns differently, so I break skills down into simple steps and explain the “why” behind each technique. My goal is to create a positive environment where players feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and enjoying the game while improving every session.

I have been playing pickleball since 2005, and I have been competitively participating in Pickleball tournaments since 2015. I have played throughout the United States including; Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Minnesota, North Carolina, Florida and throughout California. In addition, I have been teaching and coaching for over five years. I have also created and run, as Tournament Director, eight pickleball tournaments for The United Way.

Played juniors, collegiate hockey and semi pro hockey; off ice training, summer hockey camps. Age range from 10 to 30year-olds. Trained mostly college, high school players and semi pro players. Training build around Calisthenics and plyos training with stick handling and shooting.

For nearly two decades, I've guided students to unlock their musical potential at the piano, from novice to near-professional. My experience as a concert performer informs my teaching, ensuring a comprehensive and inspiring musical journey. I'm committed to nurturing artistry and technical mastery.

Joey is a classically trained musician with a versatile background spanning pop, jazz, and rock. he studied piano with Ken Smith from the San Francisco Conservatory of music Who was a fullbright scholar from the Brussels conservatory. His broad musical foundation allows him to adapt to a wide range of styles and student goals, whether you're looking to refine technique, explore modern genres, or build confidence as a performer.

My yoga journey began nearly 25 years ago. Practicing yoga made me feel strong, connected and empowered, both physically and mentally. I earned my YT 200 certification in 2018 and I’ve continued to share my passion for Yoga with others. In 2023, I earned my Yin yoga certification and continue to educate myself in the field. I am dedicated to helping students discover the healing power of Yoga beyond breath and movement. My motto – begin, the rest is easy.
