"Coach Jenny is amazing with kids! She helps grow skills and confidence in a fun and safe environment. She has such a positive influence in shaping children’s confidence in sports and more importantly, in themselves. I HIGHLY recommend her classes. As a guitarist for almost 20 years, I began playing guitar at 9 years of age and started playing classical guitar. I then picked up the electric guitar at 16, acoustic guitar at 20, and now play flamenco and jazz guitar at 30. I know advanced chords like 6, 9, 7th, 7b9, 7#9, 7b5, 7#5, advanced scales like altered, Lydian dominant, Phrygian dominant, modes, harmonic and melodic minor, etc. I know music theory very well and self-taught myself all kinds of lessons like borrowed chords, modulation, diatonic keys, dominants, tritone substitution, backdoor dominants, secondary dominants, etc. I also create my own music using music theory, circle of fifths, and advanced techniques. I can also use tabs to read music. I'm specifically, however, good at the guitar and almost every time I play at the guitar center, I receive compliments and praises of people telling me that I'm very talented.

I'm 47 and have been studying, writing and performing music since the age of 15. I have a B.A. in Music from San Francisco State University where I studied classical intensely, as well as jazz and world music. I live in South Berkeley and have been teaching private lessons here for the last 20 years at my home studio in a cooperative house. I worked for BandWorks School of Rock in Oakland as a band coach for 6 years and now currently have my own independent program. I enjoy performing classical music for weddings and events, playing shows with local rock, metal and Django/Hot Club swing groups, writing original music and scoring for films. I love and appreciate genuine passionate music of all genres, languages and cultures.
"Daniel is a great guitar teacher who strikes a balance between theory and practical play. Daniel engaged our child (8) by playing songs they wanted to play even if Daniel had never heard them before. He equipped our kid with tools that allowed him to practice at home. Daniel really brought out the confidence and love in our kid to keep playing the guitar. We're so grateful for finding Daniel!!

I started played a little over seven years ago. I’ve toured professionally for around two year, through all the Hawaiian islands, Cali and Washington. I find nothing more exciting than music, and in truth, getting good at it is a lot easier than some make it out to be. If I could provide newcomers, or any level to some of the things I wish I would’ve know when I first started, I strongly believe it will help them to achieve whatever it is they want out of music.
"I think he is really good at music. He is so good at teaching me lessons. And I think that he should give me more lessons. And you should buy his lessons cause they are really good.

I was a shooting coach for my 10 year old nephew for 2 years. Outside of that I’ve never coached. I played in a 6’ and under league for 2 seasons when I was in my mid 20s. Now in my late 30s I play pick up basketball twice a week. Shooting is my strength. I love the game always have a basketball on me incase I find myself near a court with extra time on my hands.

Fueled by a lifelong dedication to golf, I bring 30 years of experience to helping players elevate their game. I've coached children from the ages of 4-18. I coached a Nike Golf Camp for a number of summers at Tilden Park Golf Course where I focused on younger golfers. I've been the head coach at number of successful high schools throughout the area. I have also taught adults, family, and friends. I offer a unique perspective and my first and most important rule is that we're having fun. If we're not having fun we are in the wrong sport. But with patience and a lot of practice I can promise that your golf game will improve and after hitting a few solid shots you'll become addicted to the game, I'll tailor my lessons to each individual and take the time to ensure that progress is made. My passion lies in fostering a fun and supportive environment where golfers of all levels can thrive. Let's get out there!
"Sean is a very skilled coach with deep experience, and it was helpful spending a lesson with someone who has such a strong feel for the game. I’m very new to golf, and he gave me several useful drills and visual metaphors that made certain concepts click for me, especially his “paintbrush” cue for brushing the grass. You can tell a lot of this teaching comes from years of playing and collecting ways to explain the swing which made the lesson interesting and gave me a lot to practice afterwards.
