I've been in the water since I was very young. I started as a Junior Lifeguard then was seasonal Lifeguard in Newport Beach, CA. I've surfed all over the world. I've pursued big swells in Indonesia as well as mainland Mexico, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Iceland.

Eventually, I dove into forming bands, performing live, and touring. At 16, a chance encounter with a jazz guitarist changed my path—I learned you could study guitar in college. I went on to earn both my Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Music (Jazz Concentration). Along the way, I struggled with bad habits, self-doubt, and the urge to compare myself to others—until a mentor shared three life-changing lessons that still guide me today: "Never compare yourself to others." There will always be someone ahead of you and someone behind you. Music isn’t a competition—it’s about growth, expression, and lifting others up alongside you. "Don’t expect too much too fast."
