Hi there, I'm Tom, and I'm currently one of the head coaches at Picklr Fountain Valley. I'm a dedicated IPTPA certified Pickleball instructor with a strong foundation in the sport, backed by over 3 years of playing experience. Recently played in PPA Las Vegas and finished with silver in 4.5 Mens Singles. Having triumphed in Round Robin events at Tustin Pickleball, I bring over two decades of tennis expertise, infusing a unique perspective into pickleball coaching. Finished with the gold at recent CAPA event at Los Cab Club. Passionate about nurturing skills in a fun and enjoyable manner, I'm committed to helping players of all levels excel on the court. I’m a lifelong student of the game, raised in a family of coaches, and I’ve spent years in the gym studying how players actually improve. I care about the details—footwork, decision-making, and building skills that show up in real games. Every session is focused on helping players grow their confidence, understand the game, and become more effective when it matters. I built my own game around efficiency—shooting over 60% from three with a 3:1 assist-to-turnover ratio—and that same approach is what I now use to help players improve and reach their potential. Above all, my goal is to help players develop a genuine love for the game that lasts a lifetime.

I'm a certified PPR pickleball instructor, fully insured, and a registered member of USA Pickleball. Sports have been my passion since day one, competing in various ball-related tournaments worldwide, consistently ranking in the top 10 of the 30-year-old division for an impressive 12 years. Alongside pickleball, I have a deep affection for boxing, racquetball, baseball, ping pong, and all things sports-related. With over two decades of coaching experience in softball, baseball, and soccer, I find joy in sharing invaluable insights that enhance performance and skill development. Lately, I've been thrilled to lend my expertise to numerous pickleball enthusiasts, eager to embark on this exhilarating, strategic, and highly social game, which demands precision in body motion, footwork, and technique.

I started coaching officially in February 2025 for a small group, consistently weekly. I love helping students and athletes learning the game to improve, have fun, and gain fitness with pickleball. Previously, I had been a trainer for various sports and activities such as soccer, basketball, weightlifting, and martial arts.

Let's hit the surf and make unforgettable memories together! … please if this is your first surf lesson or you last experience surfing was over a year, book me for at least 1.5 or 2 hrs. Is my obligation as surf instructor to teach you the basics to go safe to the water, so be prepared to spend 25-30 minutes in the sand learning, only for your first lesson. After your first lesson 1 hour lessons are ok, I’ll just check your pop up, give you a few pointers and then we hit the ocean🤙🏽… looking forward to see your smile after you catch your first wave 🌊 yewww!!
