I have an associate degree in Golf Course Management and a Masters in Public Administration. I worked on cruise lines like the Caribbean, Carnival Cruises, etc, for 10 years as a Golf Professional. The cruises were in Europe, the Caribbean, the US, and Hawaii. I taught lessons on sea days, set up tee times in port, and played with passengers. After the cruise lines, I worked at golf courses, mainly teaching. I enjoy teaching beginners to advanced players. I will accommodate individuals if they are more comfortable learning in groups. I'm experienced in using the V1 system for video analysis of the swing.

Hi, I’m Rian Weston-Dodds, I’ve been playing for 6 years now coaching for about 3. I have a 5.0 DUPR rating and have coached at various locations across the valley including Picklemall, Life Time, the Picklr, and many public and private courts. PPR certified. I specialize in helping intermediate players improve with strategy and technique, but can also help beginner players get a handle on the game. I look forward to working with you on the court! At the moment, the Mountainside Fitness on Frank Lloyd Wright is the easiest way to get a an indoor court during the summer, free for members and only $10 for non members. It is on a basketball court but it works fine for practice. Otherwise, The Orchard Indoor Pickleball Private Event Venue by Talking Stick resort is also a good option for a rentable, authentic indoor court. But it does cost $40 for an hour. Outdoors, public parks are usually not busy midday. But the Oasis Community Church has outdoor courts for rent and they only ask for 10% of the lesson fee. If you have your own private, court let me know.

I'm a dynamic sports enthusiast with a knack for leadership and a passion for competition. From college tennis to captaining a 4.5 Men's League team in Phoenix, I've thrived in various athletic arenas. As a head coach for high school volleyball and captain for advanced adult volleyball teams, I've honed my skills on and off the court. I compete daily with top-rated players in pickleball, securing victories like the AZ vs. Las Vegas Asian doubles tournament. Beyond my successes, I've also shared my expertise, teaching and mentoring others, including my sister, who has risen to become the #1 female pickleball player in Asia.
