About Dax

Hey fellow tennis lovers! I've been graced with 40 years of tennis experience, starting when I was just 6, thanks to my father's teachings. Our daily matches paved my path to the high-school varsity team, and I've passionately played recreationally since 1995. Whether you're seeking that powerful edge or aiming to master the basics and enjoy with buddies, I'm here to guide. Swing into action with me today!

What students say...

"I hadn’t played tennis in over two years and came in feeling like a total novice, but Dax made the whole experience fantastic. He was patient, clear in his guidance, and great at breaking down the basics. We focused on forehand and backhand technique, and he gave me simple cues that actually clicked. I walked away feeling more confident, more capable, and excited to keep learning!

About Veronique

Hello everyone! My name is Veronique. I'm a USPTA certified tennis professional, and I play comfortably at a pro level withβ€”an eclectic and unconventional style β€” the right players. * As a teaching pro ♣ I understand the game very well- with high match IQ). I used to dance ballet as well which helped me a lot to have a smooth and a fluid style, and a great foot work and balance. When it comes to tennis it is all about fitness, agility, stamina, endurance, mental fortitude at the critical moment of the match--- and a great technique to sustain a high level for a long period of time. About my tennis style and teaching- you will learn any style you like that fits your game, using spin and slices as well as being eclectic and /or conventional ... and how to develop a technically sound serve ( the serve in tennis is one of or the most important elements if you like to be very competitive). ♣ Teaching philosophy is-- (based around student and teacher-centered approach): I do not like to talk much during the session( I don't over/or under coach but I give you what you need to be ) Despite-- I emphasize a lot on the technique and repetitions so you can improve in the right way, while having fun. -- and after finishing the lessons, the students will have an idea on what they need to do to become good recreational players, or advanced or professional players, and what their strengths and weaknesses are... from which they will be able to diagnose their own game. ♣ Personal --I'm also multilingual-- graduate student (I have a minor, BA, MA---,(and PhD is my next goal. * I taught tennis in high school as well - private school - and all my students said that I'm the best coach they have ever had . ♣I love fitness, organic food, and my favorite sport is gymnastics which is the only complete sport and most difficult to master. Personality - *I'm very nice, caring, gentle, sincere, humble, open minded , very wise and patient with excellent communication skills Thank you and have a wonderful day and see you on court. About Daniel

My name is Daniel Gaffney. I have coached tennis for ten years as a private instructor as well as through the SF Recreation and Parks Department for all levels, which range from the novice to the advanced level. I am a former USTA NorCal junior player and 4.5 NTRP player.

What students say...

"I started my first lesson with Coach Daniel feeling incredibly nervous and out of my element, but his welcoming attitude immediately put me at ease. He has a remarkable gift for breaking down complex tennis fundamentals into simple, easy-to-understand steps that are perfect for a total beginner. I was impressed by how patient he remained while correcting my grip and footwork, always offering encouragement rather than criticism. His energy is contagious, and he managed to make a challenging workout feel like genuine fun. By the end of the hour, I was actually hitting the ball over the net with confidence and felt like I had made real progress. I would highly recommend Daniel to anyone looking to start their tennis journey in a supportive and professional environment.
