Laniakea Beach on Oahu's North Shore is a popular surfing access point with offshore breaks like Laniakea, Himalayas, and Hultin's. Rocky shelf and strong rip currents make it challenging; experienced surfers use the beach for wave access.
Entrance notesAccess from Kamehameha Highway near 61-574 Pohaku Loa Way. Park roadside and walk short distance to beach. Look for yellow barrels area for turtle viewing.
ParkingRoadside parking along Kamehameha Highway is limited, fills quickly especially on weekends/holidays. Commercial vehicles and tour buses prohibited from parking/stopping. Arrive early morning or late afternoon.
