“Rian is a fantastic coach who offers clear and practical advice during our pickleball lessons. I enjoyed how he adjusts strategies on the spot to help improve the game. His guidance really helped me play better and feel more confident on the court. If you want to develop your skills in a supportive way, Rian’s lessons are definitely worth trying.”Pj G., studentAbout RianHi, I’m Rian Weston-Dodds, I’ve been playing for 6 years now coaching for about 3. I have a 5.0 DUPR rating and have coached at various locations across the valley including Picklemall, Life Time, the Picklr, and many public and private courts. PPR certified.
I specialize in helping intermediate players improve with strategy and technique, but can also help beginner players get a handle on the game.
I look forward to working with you on the court!
At the moment, the Mountainside Fitness on Frank Lloyd Wright is the easiest way to get a an indoor court during the summer, free for members and only $10 for non members. It is on a basketball court but it works fine for practice.
Otherwise, The Orchard Indoor Pickleball Private Event Venue by Talking Stick resort is also a good option for a rentable, authentic indoor court. But it does cost $40 for an hour.
Outdoors, public parks are usually not busy midday. But the Oasis Community Church has outdoor courts for rent and they only ask for 10% of the lesson fee.
