“Coach is elite when it comes to defensive back development.” Coach breaks down coverage techniques in a way that’s easy to understand and apply on the field. My footwork, eye discipline, and confidence in man and zone coverage improved immediately. He’s detailed, demanding, and knows exactly how to get DBs game-ready.”Chris M., studentAbout AlexanderElite WR & DB Specialist | 30 Years of Gridiron Experience
With three decades of experience on the field as both a player and a coach, I don't just teach the game. I live it.
My mission is simple: take your athlete’s raw potential and turn it into elite game-day performance. Whether your child is preparing for middle school tryouts or a high schooler trying to lock down a starting spot, we are going to build the skills, the football IQ, and the unstoppable confidence they need to dominate.
My Specialties:
I specialize in the chess match of the passing game... Wide Receivers and Defensive Backs.
If you want your kid to stand out, they have to master the details.
We will focus on:
Wide Receivers: Route-running precision, creating instant separation, release mechanics off the line, and elite ball-tracking skills.
Defensive Backs: Hip fluidity, backpedal mechanics, zone/press coverage technique, and closing speed.
The Essentials: Football IQ, explosive footwork, and speed/agility ladders.
Location:
Conveniently serving Southeast Austin, Buda, and Del Valle. I utilize open community playfields or can bring the training camp directly to your neighborhood park or backyard!
Not Football Related:
When I’m not coaching on the turf, I’m living the ultimate family life right here in the Austin area. I’m a proud dad to three incredible kids, so I know firsthand exactly what it takes to motivate, encourage, and have patience with young athletes. Being a family man shapes my entire coaching philosophy. I treat every player with the same respect and high expectations I give my own kids.
A Few Fun Facts About Me:
Friday Night Lights Fame: If I look familiar, it might be because you've seen me on screen! I’ve held a few different roles in movies and TV shows over the years, most notably right here in Austin, where I played a football player on NBC’s hit show Friday Night Lights. I’ve lived the real Texas football life both on the field and on television!
