Play Pickleball at Cypress Park

I’m Derrick, an 20 year old 5.0+ Pickleball player (Playing in APP/PPA pro qualifiers soon!) based out of South Florida! In the past I’ve played tennis, table tennis, badminton, as well as a couple of other sports. I have coaching experience from tennis and bowling. But I want to teach the sport I’m most interested in, Pickleball! Excited to get on the court together. Heads up! Although I did do commercials Professor Pickleball. I specialize in developing a solid and well thought out game. Although the process is slower early on, the better you get the easier it will be to get better! My best shots are my drops/resets and my backhand flicks. And my playstyle is a very shifty “joker” style of play. I am also quite flexible with times and locations as long as there is a court open in the area!

For over a decade, I've been sharing my passion for pickleball with others, helping them develop their skills, while discovering the joy of this dynamic sport. My coaching philosophy is built on a foundation of fun, personal encouragement, NO pressure, motivation without fear to make mistakes, repetitions as many times needed, and a commitment to seeing each player reach their full potential, one step at the time. My classes can be in English or Spanish, using the same pickleball terms in English so anyone can play with my students regardless of languaje.
