Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe start with fundamentals of the forehand and backhand. Our goal by the end of lesson 1 would be start rallying with red balls for 10 shots. I start by teaching the continental grip and getting a feel for the ball
Lesson 2-3Our second and third lesson will focus on fundamentals using a green dot to yellow ball while introducing the serve as well. We focus on starting to switch grips along with transition from groundstrokes to volleys
Lesson 4-10We would expect to be rallying with a yellow ball on a full court. The goal will be able to self feed (starting a rally) and playing drills or games to enhance skill including volleying and overheads
Lesson 11+We would expect to start playing points at this point and teaching tactics and strategy as we progress toward playing with intention and honing the finer skills and approaching a 3.0 level by lesson 15
