Paul is great! Highly recommend for all levels beginner to expert. He’s great at spotting and correcting mechanics as well as teaching strokes from the ground up.

I loved that Paul is professional and patient throughout the lesson. His approach made it easy to stay focused and learn at my own pace. If you’re thinking about improving your tennis skills, I highly recommend trying his lessons. They’re a great way to build confidence and have fun on the court. Give it a go! 🎾

The lesson kept things tight and practical, with detailed feedback and prompt corrections whenever I slipped up, and I appreciated the close-to-home setting that helped me stay focused. A clear step-by-step plan would push it further, so I’m optimistic to see even more momentum next lesson.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe would talk about our approach to tennis which is, it is a game of motion and balance. We evaluate a student’s existing tennis ability and go over how we set up for the first two of the six shots we are looking to master, the forehand and the backhand.
Lesson 11+Whole continuing to work on improving the power, consistency and effectiveness of each shot, we’d like to attempt applying all the shots in game situations.
Lesson 4-10From here, we would start to introduce the other main shots in tennis: the serve, the approach shot, the volley, the return of serve, the overhead and the drop shot. Out goal by the end of ten lessons will be to achieve some form of mastery of these eight shots.
Lesson 2-3We would continue work on the forehand and backhand working on “wait/weight on the ball” weight transfer techniques. By the end of lesson 3, the student would be refining their ready positions for shots and moving side to side, hitting groundstrokes with proper form.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWe would talk to the student about their goals for tennis and playing history, as well as any specific areas the player would like to improve near term.
Lesson 11+We will work on ratcheting up the power and intensity, as well as match preparation and specific game strategy.
Lesson 4-10These lessons would include a progressively more difficult challenging review of the eight shots in fist half of lesson, and the 2nd half is point situations, starting with both rally and serve.
Lesson 2-3Through hitting, we would evaluate each of the main eight shots: forehand , backhanded, approach shot , serve, volley , overhead, drop shot and return of serve. in detail

Youth players
Working with teenagersI talk to the student and see what they want to achieve with their tennis. I want to still go through the progressions of executing the main shots, but also incorporate some game situations.
