Beginner training plan
Your first lesson**1. Warm-up (15 minutes)**
- **Mobility Drills**: 5 minutes of dynamic stretches (hips, arms, legs).
- **Running Drills**: 5 minutes of light jogging around the court, followed by a few short sprints.
- **Racquet Drills**: 5 minutes of racquet movements (overhead, sideways, etc.) to familiarize yourself with the equipment.
**2. Technique Introduction (20 minutes)**
- **Serve**: Introduces proper stance and basic serving technique. Allows students to practice without pressure.
- **Forehand and Backhand**: Demonstrates how to hit forehand and backhand shots. Practice with hitting drills, such as hitting balls with one hand at the net.
**3. Hitting Drills (20 minutes)**
- **Passing Drill**: Pair students up to pass the ball back and forth, focusing on proper technique.
- **Practice Hits**: Practice hitting a wall or a partner for 5-10 minutes.
**4. Play and Apply (15 minutes)**
- **Mini-Tennis**: Play a half-court match where only certain hits are allowed. This helps students get used to the game and keeps it fun.
- **Pointing Drill**: At the end, organize a small points game to apply what they've learned.
**5. Cool-Down and Reflection (10 minutes)**
- **Stretching**: Stretch to prevent injuries (shoulders, legs, wrists).
