Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWhen teaching a lesson I break the swing up into four parts. I focus on contact , then the takeback, and then we go into the C Stroke. We focus on their contact until the student is consistent with that and then we go into the next step.
Lesson 11+Once we are fully consistent with stroke, we start to work on rallying
Lesson 4-10If the student is consistent with a stroke, we focus on the full stroke and timing and a little bit of footwork.
Lesson 2-3If the student is consistent with the contact, we focus on the take back.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI rally with each student to see where their mechanics are.
Lesson 11+Practice doing matchplay and points that they have been working on.
Lesson 4-10Ask the students what shot they want to focus on the most.
Lesson 2-3Work on placement and different tools that can help the player succeed in their game.
Youth players
Working with kidsI teach the kids the basics and then once they understand the basics I go into tournament play.
Working with teenagersI teach the teenagers how to play tournaments and look at their mechanics to make sure that they are able to rally.
