I’m Julia, a 26-year-old tennis coach based in Dallas Proper. I’ve been passionate about the game since I started playing club tennis at age six and continued competing through high school and college, where I played Division 2 tennis. My coaching approach emphasizes breaking down a player’s game to enhance fundamentals, strategy, and consistency, while also exploring the reasons behind our techniques. With experience coaching at country clubs and having learned from a variety of coaches myself, I’m excited to build relationships and share my insights with players of all ages.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonPlayer Analysis: experience analysis, and players objective. Discuss basic knowledge of racquet grips, forehand, backhand, and volleys. Feeding to analyze current overall strokes.
Lesson 11+Building Consistency: drills that revolve around reinforcing previous material as well as becoming more consistent, introducing serve, volley, approach shots, slice, and point development,
Lesson 4-10Building Fundamentals: Feeding with more pace, focus on timing and shifting our weight and making good contact as the ball is coming towards us. introducing more top spin, and developing a rally shot.
Lesson 2-3Building fundamentals: discussing more on our contact point, shifting our weight and following through, and generating power. I like to hand feed for these first few lessons in order to break down the swing into parts and avoid developing bad habits that will hurt us in the future.

Youth players
Working with kidsI’ve worked with kids ages 4-15 in the past. Our lessons depending on the age group will focus on making the learning a new skill fun. I have plenty of games for kids that will focus on coordination, footwork, ball control, and getting comfortable with racquet sports.

Working with teenagersI have experience with teens ages 13-17 and am happy to work on fine tuning parts of their game and elevated their level of tennis
