Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will begin with learning the grips/hand positions for each shot, as well as the basic motion for each as well. And never be afraid to ask any questions, no matter what level of player you are or how advanced you become! We’ll follow up with a couple different exercises or games to make the learning process more fun and to give you examples of fun ways to get repetition that you can even practice with your friends or family!
Lesson 11+Occasional checkups/reviews of shots to make sure the player maintains the good habits they’re building, Further advanced exercises will be added as well as increased reps or point play, depending on player need/preference
Lesson 4-10The player will be taught the scoring system of tennis, as well as more serve and return work. Gradually advancing the difficulty of exercises, be it by adding more complex movement, higher reps, or giving the player a slightly more difficult ball to return. All of this will depend on how well the player feels they have a grasp on each shot. We’ll also learn a couple more tally, point, or game exercises to allow players to have fun with the game even more outside of just private lessons
Lesson 2-3More in depth adjustments on whichever swings require it, as well as adding slightly more advanced patterns or exercises into the mix. More of a focus on power and spin as well, depending on how comfortable the student is with the swings. A few more games or points can be added as well
