My son has been going to Coach G for almost a year, and we love his coaching style. He focuses on my son’s strength (being a unique left-handed player), Which is encouraging, But also adds in skilled building exercises and drills where he needs improvements. He is a coach that will tell you what you’re doing wrong. Coach Gee sees it from the moment you do it and push you directly on the path to getting it right. My son has had some real lightbulb moments with Coach G to improve basic control, backhand, and serving and momentum playing/improve match play.
If you want to approve your Tennis and get more fit for recreational or to play competitively you won’t find a better value or better code coach than in Coach Garlund. Thank you for all you do.

I've been taking lessons with Garlund since February. I purchased a 10 lesson package with him at a very reasonable price. We meet weekly for an hour for one on one lessons. I very much enjoy Garlund's teaching style, personality, and appreciate his patience. Each week we work on different things : ground strokes, volleys, rallies, etc. I definitely find one on one instruction is the most useful and with Garlund I definitely feel like I am improving, slowly by surely. We start lessons with mini- tennis, incorporate different drills and exercises, and wrap up with some rallying to try to put it all together. Not only do I get instruction with Garlund, but he connects us with other same-level players to practice throughout the week, and sends invites to local tennis socials and meetups. If you are looking for a passionate and patient instructor with loads of instruction and coaching under his belt, I highly recommend taking lessons from Garlund. You will 100% improve!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonHit with the student to make an evaluation and lesson plan going forward.
Lesson 11+Introduce or improve their serve to put the ball into play and to hold their serve. How to volley at net.
Lesson 4-10Helped them to be consistent in their ground strokes and to sustain a rally.
When they are reached a set level, I will introduce other types of ground show such as spin, hitting on the rise and dealing with high balls.
Lesson 2-3Inform them of my evaluation of their mechanics. Provide a lesson plan with levels of progressions that will approve their strokes.
Youth players
Working with kidsTalk about basic tennis etiquette, such as controlling your emotions do not argue line calls respecting your opponent to learn and to have fun.
Working with teenagersWork on their strengths and to attack the opponents weakness. Talk about tactics strategies and patterns of play.
