Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIn your first lesson, we’ll focus on the fundamentals of tennis including grips, footwork, forehand, backhand, and serving basics. I create a positive learning environment that helps players build confidence, improve quickly, and enjoy the game from the very first session!
Lesson 2-3In the second and third lesson, we’ll build on the fundamentals learned in the first session. Players can expect to improve consistency on their forehand and backhand, develop better movement and court positioning, and begin rallying with greater confidence. We’ll also continue working on serve fundamentals and introduce basic shot placement to help players start controlling the ball rather than simply getting it over the net.
Lesson 4-10Players continue building consistency, improving serves and returns, learning volleys and net play, developing court movement, and understanding match strategy. By lesson ten, students are confidently rallying, serving, playing points, and applying fundamental tactics in real match situations while continuing to refine their technique and overall court awareness.
Lesson 11+Instruction becomes personalized to each player’s goals, focusing on advanced stroke development, spin, shot selection, strategy, match play, movement, and mental skills. Players continue building confidence and consistency while learning how to compete and perform more effectively in real match situations.
Ultimately putting everything together that we have learned so far while having fun doing it!
