Beginner training plan
Your first lessonReview of grip, swing plane, ability to hit ground strokes and volleys; and a general fitness and conditioning assessment.
Lesson 11+Point construction, game strategy, effective serve placement, return of serve tactics and overall fitness and conditioning improvement.
Lesson 4-10General rallying ability, as well as volleying techniques.
Lesson 2-3Correct approach to body position and ball strike zone for all shots
Advanced training plan

Youth players
Working with kidsI enjoy working with kids, at any level of ability, by making lessons fun and light hearted. If the child displays a significant desire to learn rapidly then I tend to focus on strokes that allow for effective rallying and winning points.

Working with teenagersTeenagers tend to be more mature physically and can adapt to longer hitting drills, conditioning exercises etc. If they are a beginner then I work on the basics such as grip and swing plane. If they have a specific goal such as playing for their school then I will put an ‘improvement plan’ in place and focus on near term goals.
