Hi there, I am Anna. I am a passionate and dedicated tennis and pickleball coach with over 10 years of coaching experience and 15 years of competitive play. I have coached players of all levels and ages, from beginners to high-performance juniors, and currently collegiate athletes . My personal playing career includes being a top 20 junior in the USA and top 5 in Ukraine, earning a blue-chip ranking as one of the country’s top players. I played for Wake Forest University (go Deacs!), and after went on to play professionally. My highest UTR was 11.31. I’ve won ten titles on the pro tour, achieving a WTA world ranking of #504. Tennis and other racquet sports are a huge part of my life- and I want to share and foster the love for the game with others! Beginner training plan
Your first lessonDepending on the level and age of a player, we will go over the basics of the game. That includes the rules of the sport, basic technique (grip, swing and spin) on all the shots in tennis (forehand, backhand, volleys and serve) but most importantly, we will have fun!
Lesson 4-10Continue getting reps on forehand, backhand, volleys and serves to get more comfortable with the basic shots of tennis. Introduce live ball hitting on top of drilling and skill developing. Introduce specialty shots, such as slice, drop shot and overheads.
Lesson 2-3We will continue working on the fundamentals that were learned in the first lesson. Couple new drills and games will be introduced that include more movement and tennis specific footwork.
