Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson we get to know and understand the game of soccer(football). Get a feel and touch for the ball then do some passes while concentrating on proper technique. And end with some simple shooting activities.
Lesson 2-3We build a warm up routine with ball mastery. And keep concentrating on technique during passing and shooting activities, with the introduction of a defensive activity.
Lesson 4-10We start to make the passing, shooting, and defensive activities more complex based on the development in training. A big concentration on touch and feel. Talk the student through any questions they have during situations they have faced in games.
Lesson 11+By 11th lesson you will be able to shoot, pass and defend with confidence and we will continue to work on instilling this confidence and discipline building strength on the technique.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson we get to know and understand the player and their game. Get a feel and touch for the ball then do some passes to warm up. Then we identify what part of the game the player feels are their strengths and weaknesses. And I pick some activities to work on those.
Lesson 2-3I plan a training session tailored to the player’s strengths and weaknesses. We build a warm up routine with a concentration on dynamic stretching and ball mastery. Then we go into the session with a focus on touch, passing technique, through balls, dribbling & shooting activities for attackers, defending activities for defenders.
Lesson 4-10I plan more complex/progressive passing, dribbling, shooting, and defending drills with the addition of crossing technique. We begin to go over on the field tactics specialized for each position.
Lesson 11+By 11th lesson you will be able to shoot, pass dribble, and defend with confidence and we will continue to work on instilling this confidence and discipline building strength on the right technique. Additionally the player will be able to comprehend in game tactics in accordance with their position.
Youth players
Working with kidsI utilize a player centered approach. I plan fun and engaging activities that concentrate on building confidence on the ball with mastery skills, dribbling, passing, as well as shooting. Everyone learns differently and that is my job as a coach to adapt my teaching approach to the student. My goal is to keep your kid engaged and create a fun learning environment.
Working with teenagersI plan complex sessions centered around the player’s development. I listen to them and learn what they want to get out of the lessons. I am very patient in explaining the activities, concepts, and techniques.
