Me and Tyler play a lot of pickleball when we are home from college and heβs very useful to learn different techniques for different styles of pickleball. He likes to play fast and strategic while I prefer to dink the ball a lot! His hand-eye coordination is also better than mind so he already has an advantage lol.

Tyler has helped me a ton of getting the understanding of the game and also tips for me to think about when playing with my family or friends. Now when I play my family and friends, I have more experience than them which then lets me show them the basics of what Tyler taught me!

Tyler is my older brother and he is really good at teaching people sports because he has a huge knowledge of all sports and can explain things really well. Me and Tyler play alot and Iβm always learning more and more tricks anytime I play with him or even against him.

Iβve taken only a couple lessons with Tyler because after awhile if we play a lot then he normally regular ask me to play some games with him for just simply fun. But we play on a college intermural team here at Miami and he carries the team 90% the other 10% being the opponents making mistakes!

Tyler taught me some cool tricks with spiking and how to be very consistent! It is by far his best thing and something u donβt want to mess with playing on the opposite side of him. He also has a consistently of hitting the outer line with precision which is crazy.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIf Iβm with beginners, I want to establish a good foundation of the rules and guidelines of how to play. As well as to have fun in the process and maybe some cool tricks that they can learn later on!
Lesson 11+If I feel the beginner has got a great sense of the sport I will ask them more what they want to work on and can even play them in games and tell them what went wrong or what they are really good at!
Lesson 4-10At this point we should be working on specifics such as including different serves, dinking when appropriate, when to line drive the ball, etc.
Lesson 2-3I think that depending on how familiar they are with our first lesson that they with either get reminded or immediately be ready for tips and tricks that will enhance their pickleball skills in game.
Advanced training plan
Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with kids I try not to throw so many things at them so they donβt get confused and want them to enjoy the sport mainly while also following the basic rules.
Working with teenagersSame way with kids but can add more tips and tricks to be a better pickleball player while still incorporating a sense of fun.
What you need to bringIf you have your own set of paddles or balls I say bring them because in the end of the day you want to be familiar with your equipment and consistent than different paddles every time.
What I can bringI can bring an extra paddle or two. And some balls for practice!
