Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI start by learning about the player’s background, athletic experience, and goals. Then we go over court basics, grip, and paddle control. We’ll focus on key fundamentals like serving, returning, and dinking in a relaxed, easygoing session. My goal is to make the first lesson fun and confidence-building.
Lesson 2-3We reinforce what was learned in the first session and introduce proper footwork, positioning, and shot consistency. Beginners can expect more rallying, controlled drills, and light gameplay to start understanding how points develop. Each drill is designed to build comfort and rhythm on the court.
Lesson 4-10These lessons focus on improving consistency, accuracy, and strategy. We'll work on third-shot drops, volleys, and transition play. Students start developing court awareness, learning how to move with purpose and react under pressure. By this stage, they'll feel confident in casual games and ready for intermediate challenges.
Lesson 11+Advanced beginner sessions focus on refining technique, improving decision-making, and developing personalized strategies. We'll use match play to analyze strengths and weaknesses, correct habits, and prepare for competitive play if desired.
Each session is tailored to keep growth steady and enjoyable.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI start with an assessment of their current level — technical skills, shot consistency, and court awareness. We play a few rally drills to evaluate shot selection, pace control, and positioning. Then I identify small inefficiencies in footwork, transition play, and anticipation. The focus is on refining, not re-teaching. I end the session setting clear performance goals and explaining how each week will target specific high-level improvements.
