Beginner training plan
Lesson 4-10Turn fundamentals into real pickleball. We develop third-shot drops and drives, resets, volleys, counters, directional control and kitchen-line play. Lessons become more situational, with live-ball drills and point play focused on decision-making, partner movement, shot selection and recognizing patterns.
Lesson 11+Training becomes increasingly individualized. We identify the player’s biggest opportunities and build sessions around them—technique, consistency, movement, strategy and match play. We use competitive drills and point construction to develop a more complete, confident player who understands how to solve problems on court.
Youth players
Working with kidsI keep lessons active, positive, and engaging while building strong fundamentals. I use simple cues, games, challenges, and achievable goals to teach technique, movement, coordination, and court awareness. The focus is on creating confidence, keeping kids moving, and making sure they associate learning pickleball with having fun.
Working with teenagersWith teenagers, I combine structured skill development with competition and game-based learning. We work on technique, footwork, strategy, decision-making, and point construction, with drills tailored to their experience and goals. I challenge them while keeping the environment positive, competitive, and enjoyable—and help them understand the “why” behind what we’re working on.
