About Me I’ve been a musician for over three decades, with a lifelong passion for learning, performing, and teaching music. My journey started with drums 33 years ago, followed by bass (30 years), guitar (27 years), and piano (15 years). Though I began as a self-taught player, exploring blues and rock, I later expanded into jazz, earning a scholarship to study guitar, piano, ensembles, theory, and composition at Tarrant County College. As a professional musician, I’ve toured extensively as a sideman and freelance player, bringing versatility and depth to every performance. One highlight of my career came in 2012, when bass legend Bootsy Collins purchased one of my original recordings for his album Tha Funk Capital of the World—a project that also featured icons like Snoop Dogg, George Clinton, Ron Carter, Victor Wooten, Buckethead, Bobby Womack, Ice Cube, Maceo Parker, and Fred Wesley. In addition to performing, I compose and record my own music and lead original bands. These experiences fuel my teaching philosophy: music should be fun, inspiring, and rewarding for a lifetime. No matter your instrument, style, or skill level, I’ll help you progress, overcome challenges, and build the tools you need to express yourself through music.
