Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson will be for me to asses the client and learn about what they want to accomplish. Firstly, i would teach the basic fundamentals to build a foundation (grip, setup, posture, alignment). Then touch upon how to start rotating the body properly to make a golf swing.
Lesson 11+Once we have mastered the fundamentals and different feels of the golf swing, we can move to short game lessons as well as putting to round out your game.
These lessons will also be catered more towards getting your game “course ready” to where you can take your skills we have learned and be able to go play some holes using our techniques from training. This will allow us to learn our tendencies under the pressure of playing on a course, both the good ones and bad ones.
Lesson 4-10Start being able to swing the longer irons and woods once we’ve established confidence with swinging wedges. Start implementing feels within the golf swing to help client understand things like transfer of weight, finishing body towards the target, balance, contact position, finish and pose, etc.
Lesson 2-3To continue to groove the fundamentals and rotation to be able to develop the correct feels in order to start comfortably swinging the golf club. Would use mostly wedges to build confidence and master the shorter clubs first before moving to the longer irons. Half and 3 quarter swings first before full swings.
Youth players
Working with kidsMake the game fun to learn. Teach the kids the fundamentals while doing mini games to keep their attention locked in. It’s important to learn the basics but make it a fun environment to keep them excited to learn.
